Great photo. Great place. In 2004, I think I went every Thursday night for the whole year. It was mostly closed for refurbishment, only the Rig was open, it was smelly, it was sweaty, but I loved it.

Since handing my notice in, I appear to have NOTHING to do. As I’m only 3 days in, this is still novel, and I’m marvelling in all the time I’ve got to sit about and look at the internets.

I’ve spent the last hour faffing around with different tumblr themes and I’ve finally found something I’m vaguely happy with. Turns out after all that faffing, I would plump for the default theme, with a pretty picture in the background. Groundbreaking! I even managed to add a link to my latest tweets, my formspring, and change my icon to something that goes with the colourscheme. All in all, a good day’s work.

If I put my head down on my desk and had a quick nap, I’m not sure anyone would actually notice.

Just had one of those realisations that my Dad was cooler than me when he was my age. Here’s a photo of him aged 22 wearing a dress and riding a camel in Morocco.

I’m nearly 24 and have never been to Morocco, let alone ride a camel like it’s a bloody horse. This is going straight on my 2010 to do list.

Dinner tonight. Completely yummy. Substituted the sherry for white wine and a splosh of Worcester Sauce and left the whole thing to cook in the slowcooker for about 5 hours or so.

It was a really hard decision to make, especially because of the absolutely awesome friends and mentors I’ve come to share an office with over the past couple of years. That said, I found the whole process to be quite liberating, and although I’m going to be bloody sad to be leaving my workmates behind, I’m really looking forward to being the new girl again.

But between now and then, I’ve got a 3.5 hour exam in just over a week, Christmas, New Years in Spain, my 24th birthday and one very drunken leaving do to look forward to!
